한테, 에게, and 께 mean “to someone,” and 한테서, 에게서, and 께서 means “from someone.
 

한테

You can place 한테 right behind the name of someone or the noun referring to a person to say “to.” This means something from you/the subject is given or said to another person.
Alternatively, you can use 에게. The honorific form you should use to be extra polite is 께.
 
한테 is the most casual and 에게 is preferred in the written form.
친구한테 말했어요. (I told my friend.)
 
강아지가 저한테 왔어요. (The dog came to me.)
 
철수에게 사과했어요. (I apologized to Chul Soo.)
 
선생님께 드렸어요. (I gave it to the teacher.)
 

한테서

Place 한테서 behind the person you got something from or were told something by.
Alternatively, you can use 에게서. The honorific form is 께서.
영미한테서 편지가 왔어요. (A letter came from Young Mi.)
 
철수한테서 문자를 받았어요. (I received a text message from Chul Soo.)
영미에게서 들었어요. (I heard it from Young Mi.)
 
선생님께서 말씀하셨어요. (The teacher said it.)
